Billing Boss up and Running

Billing Boss is back up and all technical difficulties have been resolved, thanks to our great team of developers who have now implemented new procedures to ensure that Billing Boss remains available at all times moving forward.

The pending death of the unit field

We are planning to drop the unit field on invoices soon.

Why? Because most users do not know what it is for. It turns out that most of our users are service based and do not sell inventory. In our limited testings, most people have a problem with it but figured it out eventually.


Our goal is make the interface really simple and this will be the first time that we remove a feature.

You Spoke, We Listened: Billing Boss Updates

We’ve been busy the last couple weeks and on Friday we released the latest Billing Boss version. Besides the fabulous new homepage, you’ll see that we’ve moved a few things around so you could find them easier, fixed some minor bugs and added a couple great new features that you told us would make your invoicing easier.

What’s New

Line item taxes -- Many small businesses told us that different taxes apply to some products or services. We didn’t want you to have to create 2 invoices for the same customer, so now when you’re creating an invoice; you have the option to select applicable taxes for each item.

Also, in the screenshot below, you might notice that we’ve moved the Currency selection on the invoice tab so it is easier for you to find and change an invoice’s currency.















The other request that we often received from you is the ability to add a default message on every invoice – and now you can! Just go to the Settings page (see below) and you’ll see that there is a new field that you will need to update if you want to use this functionality.
















You might spot a few other changes or bug fixes as you’re using Billing Boss, but if we’ve done our job right, you won’t even notice – it’ll just be even easier to use than before. With your feedback and suggestions, we can make Billing Boss even better so be sure to let us know what you think.
